Uniform Guidance Cost Principles

This module introduces the Uniform Guidance Cost Principles, describes significant changes that occurred and the updated systems to meet new requirements. A more in depth explanation is also presented on what are allocable, allowable and reasonable costs and how to apply the cost principles. The Uniform Guidance consolidates the former guidance at OMB Circulars A-87, A-21, and A-122 which were codified at 2 CFR Parts 225, 220, and 230, and are now located in the Cost Principles in Subpart E.

SMART - Strategies of sound grants management that comprises: Monitoring, Accountability, Risk Mitigation and Transparency which are found in the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards 2 CFR Part 200 and 2 CFR 2900.
